I like to swing by Hoover Dam once a month or so to make sure it's still there, so let's meet at the Hemenway boat ramp and plan to be on the water by 8am. Arrive a little early to get your boat ready and make a final pit stop.
The paddle is just over 8 miles round trip. You can see a rough map of the route here. We'll stop for lunch (or brunch) and some swimming at my favorite rest stop near the dam. Depending how hot it is I might opt to stop at the Boulder Islands for a quick dip as well. read more »

If you know of a better way to wash paint thats been shot at you at 200mph, then I'm all ears. If not, then I recommend going on a morning paddle at the Hoover Dam, stop at Boulder Island maybe for a little dip and a bite, and continue on to the dam. From here maybe do some swimming, hiking, and cliff jumping(those paint will come right off). The paddle is just over 8 miles round trip.
Things to bring: Hat, sunglasses, sunblock, food, and plenty of water. read more »
